JONESBORO (9/13/07) The Arkansas State University Indian Club is accepting team and individual entries to the Fourth Annual ASU Open golf tournament set for Oct. 12 at Sage Meadows Golf Club. The tournament takes place the day before ASU’s Homecoming football game with Louisiana-Lafayette in Indian Stadium.

The ASU Open is scheduled for a 1 p.m. shotgun start for the 18-hole, four-person scramble. Entry fees are $350 per team and $90 per individual player. The fee includes a cart, green fee, shirt, and barbeque dinner. “This event has quickly grown into one of the premier events within the Indian Club and those interested are encouraged to register quickly,” said Pietz. “All proceeds from the ASU Open will go directly to the Indian Club and help support ASU’s more than 300 student-athletes.”

Those who participated in the 2006 Open will receive information by mail. Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting the Indian Club.
